Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various functions related to human capital management, employee relations, and organizational development. This role involves assisting with talent acquisition, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining HRIS systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of employment and labor laws, along with experience in HR sourcing, data entry, and project management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic HR initiatives and foster a positive workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support talent acquisition efforts through ATS platforms such as iCIMS, Workday, Taleo, and others by managing job postings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews.
  • Assist with employee orientation programs and onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Maintain accurate employee records through HRIS systems like SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Oracle HCM, and others.
  • Administer benefits programs including health insurance, workers’ compensation, and retirement plans using platforms such as Paychex, ADP, Paylocity, and Dayforce.
  • Support performance management processes by coordinating employee evaluations and training & development initiatives.
  • Assist in compliance activities related to OSHA regulations, affirmative action planning, and employment & labor law adherence.
  • Contribute to change management projects and organizational design efforts aligned with strategic planning objectives.
  • Handle data collection and reporting related to HR metrics for workforce management analysis.
  • Support employee relations initiatives by addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Manage HR sourcing activities including social media management for employer branding and recruitment campaigns.

Skills

  • Proficiency in human resources management systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, ADP, Paychex, Taleo, Paylocity, and iCIMS.
  • Strong understanding of employment & labor law compliance including FMLA regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies for implementing HR initiatives.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Skilled in data entry, data collection, reporting analytics using HRIS platforms.
  • Knowledge of workforce management tools such as Lever and Dayforce for scheduling and staffing needs.
  • Familiarity with social media management for recruitment branding purposes.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as contracts processing and benefits administration. This Human Resources Assistant role is integral to maintaining a compliant, efficient, and engaging workplace environment while supporting the strategic goals of the organization through effective HR practices.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
