Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to lead our vibrant team in delivering exceptional beauty and grooming services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of salon operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining operational efficiency, and promoting our range of specialised services including eyelash extensions and makeup application.
Duties
- Oversee daily salon operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all departments.
- Manage and motivate a team of stylists, barbers, and beauty specialists through mentoring and performance reviews.
- Coordinate appointments at the front desk, ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
- Implement upselling strategies to promote additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, and retail products.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the salon environment.
- Organise staff schedules to optimise coverage during peak hours while maintaining work-life balance for team members.
- Handle client enquiries professionally, resolving any concerns promptly to foster loyalty.
- Assist with training new staff members to uphold the salon’s standards of service excellence.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
Experience
- Proven experience in store management within the beauty or grooming industry.
- Strong background in barbering or related hairdressing services is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience working at the front desk handling bookings, payments, and client queries.
- Demonstrated mentoring abilities to support staff development and team cohesion.
- Knowledge of specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application is advantageous.
- Skilled in upselling retail products and additional services to enhance revenue streams.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
